I have an old Okidata c5300n printer that still functions fine, except, I can't get it to print under windows 10. I have loaded the Windows Update Okidata PCL6 driver. It finds the printer on the network, seems to be able to get all of the informationon the printer (i.e., it has a duplexer, but no additional trays), and generally seems connected. But, when I try to print, nothing prints, the job goes to the queue and disappears like it made it to the printer, the printer even spins up and sounds likeit is ready to print, but nothing. My old computer can still print just fine. Is it possible I need a firmware upgrade because my printer does not support PCL6. I cannot find any other drivers or any support on what is needed.

While the actions you suggested didn’t fix my problem, I have figured out what I did wrong.Essentially, I did not see the correct printer driver because I missed clicking on a button to get to the “windows update” print drivers and was only seeing the print drivers included with the basic Windows 10 installation. I figured this out when I uninstalledthe OkiData PCL6 driver intending to reinstall the driver to see if that my fix the problem and in the process realizing I missed a critical “windows update” button on the way.
